In partnership with the HKU Health System Clinical Centre, our esteemed teaching pharmacy successfully launched the inaugural pilot shingles vaccination program in Summer 2025. This achievement represents a significant advancement in primary healthcare pharmacy services and offers a valuable opportunity for the professional development of our pharmacists.​

During this program, approximately 50 individuals received the shingles vaccine, and 13 pharmacists completed their training, obtaining vaccination qualifications that enhance their skills and competencies in delivering essential immunization services.
